Scheduled
Dear Sendcloud user,

Deutsche Post has informed us that their international services will be going through maintenance on Sunday March 10th, 2024 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

Impact: Tracking and label creation will not be supported during this time via our connection with the carrier due to changes being implemented on their side.

Deutsche Post will be implementing some changes on their side with this update.

For all interconnect destination countries:

Recipient Contact Details
An e-mail address or phone number for the recipient must be provided. Many postal operators have implemented electronic pick-up notifications by e-mail or SMS and the provision of this information is essential to ensure the smooth delivery of your shipments.

HS (Harmonized System) Code
For all shipments requiring a CN22 customs declaration, it will be mandatory to provide an HS Code (also known as a Commodity Code) for the shipment contents. :check_mark: → already supported by Sendcloud

For all destination countries:

New validation rules for question marks or special/replacement characters in recipient data:
Field recipient: max. one question mark is accepted
Fields address lines 1-3, city, postal code, state: none is accepted

The category „gift“ will be removed as content type for CN22 data

Recipient name: field length is increased to 35 characters

At Sendcloud we are working on the changes from our side. We advise you to make the necessary changes on your checkout, integration, API connection to prevent announcement issues going forward.

Original message from the carrier:

Sunday, March 10, 2024, 7:00 – 10:00 am CET: Planned downtime

The environment will not be available during this time window.

We would like to apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

***NEW IT STATUS DASHBOARD***

In addition, we would like to inform again about our new Deutsche Post DHL IT Portal to provide all relevant status information about our IT services, like incidents and maintenance windows. +++ We ask you to simply register on the IT Portal, as after this announcement no further e-mail communication will be provided for incidents or downtimes on Deutsche Post International API. +++
